We continue to receive the most up-to-the minute information and we've taken the following actions to date.

  • Increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting all areas, with consistent reminders sent to each store throughout the workday
  • Encouraging employees to report any illnesses they are experiencing and to stay at home if they are sick

Social Distancing

Social distancing is a public health intervention recommended to reduce transmission of communicable disease. Use the following strategies when adhering to social distancing recommendations:

  • Attempt to keep a distance of approximately six feet from others.
  • Avoid large public gathering venues
  • Wash your hands after touching commonly used items or coming into contact with someone who is sick.
  • Use proper hand washing technique by scrubbing hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • Avoid touching your face, nose, and mouth and avoid rubbing your eyes.
  • Practice proper coughing or sneezing etiquette by using a disposable tissue if possible. If no tissue is available, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve.
  • Properly dispose of anything that comes in contact with your mouth such as tissues or plastic eating utensils.
  • Avoid coming in contact with individuals displaying symptoms of illness.

Mass Gatherings

By order of Governor Mike DeWine, mass gatherings in the state of Ohio are prohibited. Mass gatherings are defined as any event or convening that brings together 100 or more persons in a single room or single space at the same time such as an auditorium, stadium, arena, large conference room, meeting hall, theater, or any other confined indoor or outdoor space.

This would include parades, fairs, and festivals. Mass gatherings does not include normal operations of airports, bus and train stations, medical facilities, libraries, shopping malls and centers, or other spaces where 100 or more persons may be in transit. It also does not include typical office environments, schools, restaurants, factories, or retail/grocery stores where large numbers of people are present, but it is unusual for them to be within arm's length of one another.

This order will take effect immediately and will remain until the state of emergency declared by the Governor has been rescinded or modified.

Manage Coronavirus Related Stress

Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. The emotional impact of an emergency on a person can depend on the person's characteristics and experiences, the social and economic circumstances of the person and their community, and the availability of local resources. People can become more distressed if they see repeated images or hear repeated reports about the outbreak in the media.

Reactions during an infectious disease outbreak can include:

  • Fear and worry about your own health status and that of your loved ones who may have been exposed to COVID-19
  • Changes in sleep or eating patterns
  • Difficulty sleeping or concentrating
  • Worsening of chronic health problems
  • Increased use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs

Call your healthcare provider if stress reactions interfere with your daily activities for several days in a row.
